Oh Friday, I Could Kiss You!!

It’s been a long time since I’ve been this exhausted. Monday basically set the mode for the week. Busy. Very busy. Tiring. Making me stay active at work. I barely took that many breaks which probably didn’t help settling the fatigue in.

All I’ve wanted to do was lay in bed and play my game. I started re-playing Final Fantasy XV last Sunday so it’s basically been on my mind all working hours. By the time I finish work and I’m ready to put some hours in my eyes get tired and I start falling asleep before I can get to anything good.

This weekend will be all about chilling and video games. Not that I really have a choice (lockdown!).

I also have a list of things I need to look into that I’m trying to shop around for. A new vacuum is one of them. Also I kind of want to get a coffee machine. One of those cool fancy ones where I can pretend I work in a café but get the weekends off.

Also thinking about making pulled pork.

OH!! and I got 3 brown bananas calling my name wanting to be made into a loaf of bread. Or muffins. We’ll figure it out when we get there.

The big event is going to be laundry though. Brendan wants to take the laundry to the laundromat and just do one giant load and get it over and done with. Let it be known we do have a washing machine but someone got behind in the laundry and now just wants to throw it all together and fix the issue. I don’t have a problem with that. My thoughts are with the vacuum.

I’m going to go celebrate Friday the only way I know how. In Covid style. Drinks, a random show and then bed and a game.

Happy Friday

I think shopping for vacuum cleaners suck. But the more they suck the better. Good idea to do all the laundry at one. We have a huge washing machine. Laurie used to make flamenco dresses and we needed a big washer to wash them. It’s been a good machine at 21 years old now. I rebuilt the matching dryer we got with the washer three times and then the shaft on the motor broke and that was it. It would cast more to repair it than buy a new one. I replaced the dryer with a clothes line.

Laurie made flamenco dresses? Wow. I’ve always wanted one. I can only imagine how tedious it would be to make one.
And you know what they say “they don’t make them like they used to”. Seems alot of appliances were made to stand the test of time. Now everything breaks so quickly. I’m afraid of what I’ll have to spend on one that will last 10 years.

The dresses took a lot of time. Appliances don’t last like they use to. We bought a really nice, big side by side Samsung refrigerator three years ago. We bought the 3 year warranty with it. We have had to do a major repair on it every year so far. The dealer wants to sell us an extended warranty that is 6 times more than the original extended warranty, and two thirds the cost of the refridgerator. The repairman said he didn’t think it was worth it, since the repairs he had done each year would have cost us $80 to $150. The three are more than the original extended warranty, but much less than the next one they are trying to sell us.
